Marketing & Communications at Boston Children’s works closely with a vendor making sure public listings of our ~2,000 providers, locations, and departments/programs are accurately being displayed across the top patient ratings and reviews websites: Google, Healthgrades, Vitals, RateMDs, Yelp and Yellow Pages.
We have approached the online reputation of our providers in three steps:
- We provide our vendor with a pre-templated spreadsheet detailing our providers and listings, including contact information, a link to respective department website and/or Find-a-Doc profile and a Boston Children’s branded headshot. (Need a new photo? Schedule online now)
- We rely on our published BCH staff profiles to be our “center of truth” when updating these external verticals. We encourage our staff and their team to submit profile changes using our Profile Updates form.
- An edit to a profile typically takes a few days, depending on the requested platform data change. In some instances we will try our best to expedite update requests. While these reputation audits do take time to go through given the amount of providers, we pay close attention to the profiles and compare to the provider’s Find-a-Doc profile.
